Livestream for News reaches 46 of the top 50 local television markets and is deployed at more than 200 news stations
BROOKLYN, NY, April 9, 2015 — Livestream, the Brooklyn-based technology company, with 300,000 producers streaming live events to over 40 million viewers a month, today announced that its Livestream for News service has been selected by Raycom Media for all of its television news stations. With this expanded association, Livestream for New is now deployed at more than 200 commercial local television news stations across the United States – equal to about one third of the market.

Livestream for News also allows stations to dynamically insert online ads into the broadcasts’ commercial breaks, creating a new online revenue stream for broadcasters.

Livestream is also the primary streaming provider for Fox Television Stations, Tribune Media, Media General, Meredith, Journal Broadcasting, and Schurz Communications.
Livestream for News provides broadcasters with flexible business terms. The product is available at no cost to the station with the business model being an inventory split. Alternatively, broadcasters can also select a monthly licensing fee.

Livestream also provides stations with additional viewership and revenue opportunities through the Livestream News Network Station content is aggregated on a landing page at livestream.com/news. The page is curated to highlight the most important live, local news taking place across the United States. The Livestream News Network covers 79 of the top 100 US television markets and a syndication product is currently in development.
